Giannis Maniatis in talks for high-level role at Anorthosis

Former professional footballer Giannis Maniatis is reportedly in advanced negotiations to take on a high-level, strategic role at the Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.

Since retiring from active play, the 40-year-old has focused on professional development within football administration. His experience includes serving as an academy technical director, specifically for Olympiacos B, and working as a group loan manager. Maniatis has also completed the UEFA MIP V (Master for International Players) program through the UEFA Academy and has participated as a speaker in the ‘Sporting Director’ program in Switzerland.

While Anorthosis had previously shown interest in Maniatis during his playing career, negotiations did not materialize at that time. This potential move represents a significant step in his transition into senior football management.
