Giannis Psylilis discusses modeling industry rejections

Model Giannis Psylilis has discussed his experiences with rejection in the fashion industry during an interview regarding his participation in the SKAI series ‘Blue Hours’.

Reflecting on his time with the reality show GNTM, Psylilis noted that he progressed as far as the photography stage before being informed that he did not fit the specific aesthetic the producers were seeking. He explained that in modeling, rejection often stems from not matching a designer's specific concept rather than a lack of personal merit.

He also shared a recent experience in Milan, where he participated in a casting for Tom Ford for a runway show in Paris. Despite competing alongside 50 established models, he was not selected. Psylilis admitted to struggling with the emotional impact of such setbacks, but noted that after watching the fashion show live, he realized his look simply did not align with the brand's vision for that specific presentation.
