Giannoula Karympalis-Tsiptsiou, President of KTHEB, passes away

Giannoula Karympalis-Tsiptsiou, the current President of the Board of Directors of the State Theatre of Northern Greece (KTHEB) and Professor Emerita at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) Law School, has passed away.

Born in Drama, Karympalis-Tsiptsiou graduated with honors from the AUTh Law School, where she later served as a full professor of Civil Law from 2004 to 2020. Her academic work focused on Civil and Real Estate Law, as well as Antiquities Law. She held several significant leadership roles, including Dean of the School of Law, President of the AUTh Legal Committee, and Director of the Postgraduate Program in Civil, Procedural, and Labor Law.

In addition to her academic career, she served as President of the Association of Civil Lawyers and Vice President of the Tellous Arts Foundation. Culture Minister Lina Mendoni issued a statement mourning the loss, describing her as an exceptional scientist, a deeply cultured individual, and an exemplary public servant.
