Giant 50‑kg Jackfruit Harvested in Bắc Ninh, Vietnam Draws Social Media Buzz

A family in Thuận Thành commune, Bắc Ninh province reported harvesting a jackfruit weighing about 50 kg, a size rarely seen as the tree normally yields only one or two fruits a year. The fruit sparked widespread interest on social media, with many users posting photos and commenting on its extraordinary size and taste. The family sold one of the fruits for 1 million VND and kept the other to share locally.

The incident mirrors a previous case in Lạng Sơn where a 53‑kg jackfruit also attracted online attention and was quickly bought and distributed by local residents.
