Giant 7-meter crocodile captured by residents in Indonesia

Residents in the East Kolaka Regency of Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, successfully captured a giant crocodile measuring approximately 7 meters in length from the Ladongi Jaya River.

The capture occurred on the evening of September 21. A local resident, 57-year-old Karmuji, led the effort after his son, Ujang, spotted the animal floating in the river. After approaching the site, Karmuji used a rope to secure the crocodile. He was assisted by his son and other local residents to pull the animal onto the riverbank, where its legs were tied and its eyes were covered with cloth.

Following the incident, the capture was reported to the Ladongi Police and the East Kolaka Fire Department. Authorities arrived at the scene later that night, and fire department personnel have been coordinating with animal quarantine services in Kendari to manage the crocodile.
