A Giant Food grocery store located at 7920‑30 Belair Road in Nottingham, Baltimore County, Maryland, will permanently close on August 6 after five decades of operation. The company said the decision resulted from a routine evaluation of its business operations and local market conditions and did not provide a specific reason.
Customers in the area will still be able to shop at nearby Giant Food locations and use the chain’s online services, including Giant Pickup and delivery. Pharmacy patrons will receive notices that their prescriptions are being transferred to the nearest Giant pharmacy, with the option to select another pharmacy.
