Giant Group reports surge in profit and shipment growth

Giant Group has reported significant financial and shipment growth, signaling a potential recovery for the bicycle manufacturer. For the second quarter of 2026, the Taiwan-based company saw consolidated revenues rise 5.8% year-over-year to NT$16.67 billion. Net profit after taxes surged by 234% interannually, reaching NT$630 million.

The company’s profitability improved as gross margins reached 24.2% in the second quarter, up from 19.6% at the start of the year. This increase is attributed to a higher proportion of sales from in-house brands, the introduction of high-margin new models like the Giant Propel, and a reduced need for heavy discounting.

In addition to quarterly earnings, shipment data shows a positive trend. Following a 16% increase in June 2026, shipments grew by 12.8% in July 2026, reaching NT$5.76 billion. This marks three consecutive months of growth in both shipment volume and value, helping the company move past previous inventory and demand challenges.
