Giant Ojosama anime adaptation announced for January 2027

A teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming anime adaptation of the manga ‘Giant Ojosama’ by Nikumura Q. The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.

Produced by Tatsunoko Production, the anime is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, with Katsuya Oshima serving as assistant director. Hajime Mitsuda is responsible for character design and chief animation direction, while Yū Satō will handle series composition and scripts. The voice cast includes Yu Serizawa as Oriko Fujido and Junya Enoki as Dr. Sebastian.

The story follows Oriko Fujido, the heiress of a wealthy family and head of the Fujido Zaibatsu, a company with a monopoly on Japan's vending machine industry. After a monster attacks her city, her butler, Dr. Sebastian, provides her with an experimental energy drink that causes her to grow to a giant size, similar to a kaiju, in an attempt to protect her territory.
