Giants QB Jaxson Dart urges MetLife Stadium to retain natural grass post‑World Cup

Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart told PEOPLE that he wants the natural grass installed for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium to remain for the upcoming NFL season. The stadium hosted the final on July 19, where Spain defeated Argentina 1‑0.

Dart joined other NFL players, including Caleb Williams, Laremy Tunsil and Jonathan Taylor, in urging the venue to keep the grass, arguing that it would improve player safety after years of injuries on the artificial surface. Several U.S. stadiums temporarily swapped turf for grass to meet FIFA requirements, and advocates contend the same effort could be applied year‑round for football games.
