Giants RB Cam Skattebo Backflip Mishap and Recovery

Running back Cam Skattebo of the New York Giants attempted a backflip at Fanatics Fest in October 2025, fell awkwardly and suffered a tibia fracture and a dislocated ankle, ending his rookie season. After a lengthy rehabilitation, he has been cleared to practice and is preparing for the upcoming season. Giants head coach John Harbaugh joked about the incident on the "Bleav in Giants" podcast, saying "at least stick it" and confirming that Skattebo is "healthy, ready to roll, and I can’t wait to see him at practice."

A Kalshi prediction market currently rates Skattebo’s chance of rushing for 750 or more yards this season at 65%, suggesting confidence that the injury will not limit his production. The Giants have bolstered their offensive line in the offseason, adding Francis Mauigoa, JC Davis, Lucas Patrick and Daniel Faalele, and Harbaugh’s run‑heavy scheme is expected to give Skattebo ample opportunities as the team's RB1.
