Gibraleón to host Carmelite International Congress

Gibraleón, Spain, will host the Carmelite International Congress on September 25 and 27. This academic and cultural event is organized by the Hermandad del Santísimo Cristo de la Sangre y María Santísima de la Soledad as part of this year's jubilee celebrations.

The congress will bring together researchers, historians, theologians, and heritage specialists from Spain, Italy, Malta, Peru, and other nations. The program includes conferences, workshops, and cultural activities focused on the historical, spiritual, and artistic richness of the Carmelite tradition, as well as its influence on the Church and society.

Notable figures in the honorary commission include the Bishop of Huelva, Monsignor Santiago Gómez Sierra, and the Provincial of the Iberian Province of Saint Teresa of Jesus, Father Francisco Sánchez Oreja. The event aims to establish a reference forum for the study and dissemination of Carmelite heritage.
