Gibran Rakabuming Raka opens Vice Presidential Palace to children with disabilities

Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has opened the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta to children with disabilities. During a visit on October 15, 2026, the Vice President offered the use of the palace auditorium as a dedicated practice space for the 'Komunitas Aku Menari' (I Can Dance Community).

Disability advocate Angkie Yudistia expressed appreciation for the move, noting that the community previously had to rent various locations to conduct their activities. Yudistia stated that providing access to state spaces sends a profound leadership message, signaling that the palace is a symbol of hope for all Indonesian citizens and recognizing the equality of people with disabilities within the nation.
