Gibside National Trust site break-in delays services

A break‑in at the Gibside estate, a National Trust property near Rowlands Gill in North East England, was reported overnight on Thursday. Northumbria Police confirmed they are investigating the incident.

Gibside staff announced that the kitchen would open later than usual, resulting in delayed food service and the temporary unavailability of scones. A spokesperson said the break‑in affected parts of the site and that the Trust is working to restore normal operations while the police investigation continues.
