Gică Popescu invests 3 million euros in Hotel Rozmarin modernization

Gică Popescu and his business partner, Viorel Constantin, are investing approximately 3 million euros into the expansion and modernization of the four-star Hotel Rozmarin in Predeal. The project, which began last year, includes the addition of a wellness and SPA center featuring an indoor pool, saunas, and a fitness room. About 40% of the investment is being covered by European funds through the Regio program.

A unique feature of the renovation will be a 100-square-meter museum dedicated to Popescu’s football career. The museum will display significant trophies from his time at clubs such as FC Barcelona and Galatasaray Istanbul, including the UEFA Cup, the European Super Cup, and the Cup Winners' Cup, alongside items of sentimental value. The museum and the hotel extension are scheduled to open in December.

Originally built between 1933 and 1936, the hotel currently offers 64 rooms, six apartments, and three conference rooms.
