Gideon Okeke stars in international short film The Missing Chord

Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke will star in The Missing Chord, a new 19-minute music-driven romantic drama. The production is an international collaboration involving creative talent from Nigeria, Ghana, and the United Kingdom.

Written, produced, and directed by UK-based Ghanaian filmmaker Bibi Owusu Shadbolt, the film follows Emeka, a struggling Nigerian musician played by Okeke. After facing repeated rejection and questioning his self-worth, Emeka travels from Nigeria to Ghana. There, he meets Serwaa, portrayed by British-Ghanaian actress Vanessa Vanderpuye, whose support helps him rediscover his passion for music.

The film, a BOS Films UK production co-produced by Olumuyiwa Ojo, blends romance, humor, and drama with original African musical compositions. It aims to showcase African storytelling to a global audience while exploring themes of identity, resilience, and artistic ambition.
