Giffords Circus returns to Gloucestershire for tour finale

Giffords Circus is returning to Gloucestershire for the final dates of its 2026 tour following a sold-out summer season in southern England. The production, titled ‘Waterfield’, is inspired by rural wildlife and British children’s literature.

The circus will perform at Stratton Meadows in Cirencester until September 7, before moving to its headquarters at Fennells Farm in Stroud from September 10 to September 27. Directed by Cal McCrystal, the show features a diverse international cast, including the Addis Ababa Troupe from Ethiopia, the Valencia Flyers from Colombia, and Italian knife-throwers Elena and Giacomo Jasters.

Performances include acrobatics, aerialists, clowns, and equestrian acts featuring Shire horse Maisy and Shetland pony Tinkerbell. The live musical score is provided by the six-piece band, The Grasshoppers, using reworked British folk and pop songs.
