Gifhorn: Driver seriously injured in head-on collision

A serious head-on collision occurred on Friday morning on the K28 between Weyhausen and Bokensdorf in the Gifhorn district. A Škoda Enyaq reportedly veered off the road while navigating a curve and struck an oncoming Seat Ibiza.

The driver of the Seat was trapped inside the vehicle due to the impact and required technical rescue by firefighters from Osloß, Weyhausen, and Tappenbeck using hydraulic equipment. The driver sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Škoda was able to exit the vehicle independently and suffered only minor injuries. First responders provided assistance at the scene before emergency services arrived.
