Gift Monday joins Boston Legacy FC from Washington Spirit

Boston Legacy FC has officially unveiled Nigerian international striker Gift Monday following her transfer from the Washington Spirit. The 24-year-old Super Falcons forward has signed a five-year contract that runs through December 2030 and will wear the number 22 shirt.

As part of the agreement, the Washington Spirit will receive $500,000 in transfer threshold funds along with a 20 per cent sell-on clause. Monday previously made headlines in the NWSL by scoring the fastest hat-trick in league history, recording three goals in 35 minutes and 52 seconds against the Houston Dash.

Boston Legacy FC general manager Domè Guasch noted that Monday adds a new dimension to the team's attack and emphasized her value as a team player. The move marks a significant investment for the club in its inaugural NWSL season.
