GIFT Nifty achieved record-breaking milestones on September 25, 2026, with a single-day turnover of USD 23.67 billion and open interest reaching an all-time high of USD 21.87 billion. The NSE International Exchange reported that these figures represent a new era for the platform, which has seen exponential growth since commencing full-scale operations in July 2023.

In related market developments, the National Stock Exchange of India recently listed on the BSE on September 24. Its shares debuted at a 0.84 per cent premium over the issue price of Rs 1,785. Meanwhile, GIFT Nifty futures indicated a potential negative start for domestic benchmark indices on Monday, trading lower by 74 points.
