Gift Orban wins Süper Lig Goal of the Month

Nigerian forward Gift Orban has won the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Month award for September. The 24-year-old earned the honor for a long-range strike during Amedspor’s 3-2 victory over Beşiktaş.

Orban, who joined Amedspor on loan from Hoffenheim in July, has recorded seven goals and two assists in six league matches. His scoring tally has placed him level at the top of the Süper Lig scoring charts. Amedspor currently leads the league table with 13 points.

Under the terms of his loan agreement, a mandatory purchase clause will be triggered if Orban reaches 10 goals. Having already scored seven, he requires three more goals to make the transfer permanent, with reports suggesting a potential purchase price of approximately €3 million.
