Gifu City launches Rakuten Pay campaign for up to 22.5% point rewards

Gifu City has launched a price hike support campaign running from August 1 to August 31, 2026. Through a partnership with Rakuten Pay, participating physical stores in Gifu City will offer up to 20% in Rakuten Point rewards for code payments.

Users can reach a maximum total reward of 22.5% by presenting a Rakuten Point Card and using Rakuten Pay balance as the payment method. Rewards are capped at 1,000 points per transaction and a total of 5,000 points per person during the period. The campaign excludes online payments, tobacco purchases, and medical expenses covered by insurance. Points are expected to be distributed by late October 2026.
