Gifu Prefecture locations see tourism boost from ‘VIVANT’ filming
Various locations in Gifu Prefecture are experiencing increased tourism following their appearance as filming sites in the popular TBS drama ‘VIVANT’.
Ceramic Park Mino in Tajimi City has become a destination for fans, with the Gallery Walk bridge used in several scenes featuring actors such as Hiroshi Abe. The facility plans to hold an exhibition of props, sets, and objects used during filming to promote Mino ware culture.
The Gifu Prefectural Government building has also seen a surge in visitors. The foyer was used to depict a villa in Thailand, while the 20th-floor observation lobby served as a location for scenes set in Jerusalem. To capitalize on the interest, the prefecture has implemented various promotional efforts, including displaying panels about the filming process and utilizing the influx of visitors to showcase local products and regional attractions.
