Gigabyte announces BIOS updates for LGA1700 motherboards
Gigabyte has announced a free BIOS update for its entire lineup of Intel Z790, B760, and H610 motherboards to provide support for upcoming Intel LGA1700 processors, reportedly referred to as ‘Raptor Lake Next’. This update covers both DDR4 and DDR5 memory versions, allowing users to upgrade their CPUs without replacing their existing motherboards or memory.
The update aims to extend the lifecycle of the LGA1700 platform. While Intel has not officially confirmed the new processors, leaks suggest they may arrive in early 2027 and will utilize the Intel 7 process with a hybrid architecture. The update is available via the support section of Gigabyte’s product pages, with specific instructions and video guides provided for users utilizing Q-Flash and Q-Flash Plus technologies.
