GIGABYTE launches GAMING A16 AI gaming laptops in Japan

GIGABYTE Technology has announced the release of two models of its 16.0-inch AI gaming laptop, the GAMING A16, through major Japanese electronics retailers starting September 12.

The laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processors and feature NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series Laptop GPUs. One model utilizes the RTX 5070 (798 AI TOPS), while the other features the RTX 5060 (572 AI TOPS). The devices include Intel Arc graphics and an Intel AI Boost NPU to support AI-driven tasks such as content creation and gaming.

Key hardware specifications include a 165Hz WUXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, WINDFORCE cooling technology with dual fans, and support for Wi-Fi 6E and USB PD 3.0 fast charging. The laptops also integrate GiMATE, a proprietary AI agent that utilizes large language models for voice-recognized operations.
