Gigabyte registers over 20 Z990 motherboards for Intel Nova Lake
Gigabyte is preparing a wide range of motherboards for Intel’s upcoming Nova Lake desktop processors, according to recent filings in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database. The registrations include at least 24 unique Z990 motherboard models, spanning various form factors such as ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and potentially E-ATX.
The lineup covers multiple product tiers, from high-end AORUS XTREME, MASTER, and PRO series to mainstream and compact designs like EAGLE, AERO, and DS3H. Some models, such as the AERO WOOD and AERO DARK WOOD, suggest new aesthetic directions, while the STEALTH DUO X may feature rear-facing connectors for improved cable management. Some entries also include Wi-Fi 7 branding.
While these registrations indicate significant development for the Z990 chipset, they do not confirm final retail specifications, pricing, or release dates. The upcoming platform is expected to utilize Intel’s rumored LGA1954 socket, which would require new motherboards for users upgrading from current Intel desktop platforms.
