Gigabyte unveils WRX90 AI TOP motherboard for Threadripper PRO

Gigabyte has introduced the WRX90 AI TOP motherboard, a high-performance solution specifically engineered for AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 and 9000 series processors. Designed to handle intensive machine learning and artificial intelligence workloads, the board features seven PCIe 5.0 slots connected directly to the processor, with six operating at x16 speeds and one at x8. Through the use of external connections and MCIO connectors, the system can manage up to nine graphics cards simultaneously.

The hardware is supported by a 32+3+3+3 phase power delivery system on a 14-layer PCB. For memory, the board supports eight DDR5 RDIMM channels, allowing for up to 2TB of ECC memory. To manage thermal loads during heavy use, Gigabyte has integrated a dedicated dual-fan module for the DIMM slots, which aims to keep memory temperatures below 43 degrees Celsius. Connectivity options include PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots and dual Intel X710 10GbE network ports.
