Gigica, child singer, tributes late sertanejo artist Rick

Six-year-old singer Giovana Prado, known as Gigica, has gained national attention in Brazil following her emotional tribute to the sertanejo singer Rick, who passed away at age 59 in a helicopter accident.

Gigica, a child artist from Apucarana, had a close relationship with the duo Rick & Renner, who were among the first to support her career. The tribute video was shared by Renner on his official social media profile, marking his first public response to the loss of his partner.

According to Gigica’s mother, Danielle Prado, the young singer was deeply affected by the news. The family noted that the relationship between the child and the musical duo was more akin to friendship than a typical fan connection.
