Giglon selected for Las Cigarreras Museum ticketing platform
The Alicante City Council is moving closer to opening the International Museum of Las Cigarreras, located in the former Casa de la Misericordia. The company Giglon has been proposed as the winner of the contract to manage the museum's ticketing platform, handling both physical and digital sales.
Giglon's bid of 9,655 euros was the highest rated among five competing companies. The contract is set for a duration of two years, with the possibility of two one-year extensions. This follows a separate recent award of approximately 3.8 million euros for the museum's exhibition programming.
Under a draft ordinance, the general admission price will be 10 euros. Reduced rates of 5 euros will apply to large families, minors aged 11 to 17, students and young people aged 18 to 30, and seniors over 65. Admission will be free for children under 14, individuals with physical or mental disabilities, and during specific times including Tuesday afternoons, Sunday mornings, and on International Museum Day.
