Gijang County to host inaugural Imrang Wellness Tourism Festival

Gijang County will host the first Imrang Wellness Tourism Festival at Imrang Beach from October 9 to 11, 2026. The event is designed to promote wellness through activities such as meditation, music, and relaxation to improve quality of life.

Program highlights include wellness camping with tea rituals and sound baths on the first day. The second day features the ‘Imrang Morning Rave’ with DJ music, a wellness talk by cognitive psychologist Kim Kyung-il, and various movement-based activities like ballet fit and hula dancing. The evening will include the ‘Imrang Healing Wave Festa’ featuring musical performances by Kim Hyun-chul Band, Yoon Sang, and Lee Sang-woo.

The final day will focus on sensory art meditation, sauna rituals, and voice rituals. Gijang County aims to expand the use of Imrang Beach from a summer swimming destination to a year-round destination for stay-and-experience tourism.
