Gijón Hosts 'Love the 90s' Music Festival Revival

The 'Love the 90s' festival returned to Gijón's Parque Hermanos Castro on 1 August, eight years after its last appearance. Organized by director Felipe Menéndez, the event blends 1990s hits with modern visual and sound technology, offering a six‑hour, TV‑style show. International acts such as Haddaway, Dr. Alban, Rozalla and Technotronic joined Spanish nostalgic performer Fernandisco on a stage that aims to recreate the era while using today’s production capabilities. Menéndez noted that demand from the Asturian audience and the festival’s rotating city schedule secured Gijón’s place in the lineup, and tickets sold out quickly, adding to the nationwide total of over 300 000 tickets for the tour.
