Gijón sets new world record for simultaneous cider pouring

A new world record for simultaneous cider pouring was established in Gijón, Spain, during the 35th edition of the Fiesta de la Sidra Natural. A total of 10,385 people gathered at Poniente Beach to pour cider at the same time, surpassing the previous record of 9,833 set the prior year.

The event, which is recognized as a celebration of Regional Tourist Interest, featured favorable weather conditions. Participants entered through four different access points, some bringing their own cider and others receiving bottles provided by the organizers. Sidra Contrueces contributed 9,900 bottles for the attempt. A notary was present to officially certify the number of participants during the final count.
