Gilberto Batista extends contract with Moreirense FC until 2029

Moreirense FC has reached an agreement with central defender Gilberto Batista to extend his contract until 2029. The 22-year-old Guinean player, who previously had a binding agreement until 2027, has secured a two-season extension.

Batista joined Moreirense in 2023 from Sporting CP's B team. Following a productive season in which he made 28 appearances, the defender expressed satisfaction with the renewal, noting that it reflects the club's confidence in his development. He stated that he is committed to the club's project of investing in young talent and aims to help the team maintain its position in the first division.
