Gilberto Mora undergoing recovery for hip inflammation

Gilberto Mora, the 17-year-old midfielder for Xolos de Tijuana, is currently undergoing a recovery process due to physical discomfort. After participating in a match against Colombia with the Mexican National Team on September 26, Mora missed subsequent friendly matches against Peru and the United States due to physical issues.

Following his departure from the national team camp on October 4, reports indicated he was experiencing discomfort in his ankle, hip, and groin, leading him to train separately from his club. However, Xolos manager Sebastián Abreu clarified that the player is not suffering from a major injury. Abreu stated that Mora is dealing with hip inflammation and that the decision to sideline him is a precautionary measure to manage the physical loads associated with his growth and development.

While his participation in upcoming matches remains under observation, the club's priority is to provide sufficient recovery time to prevent the inflammation from escalating into a more serious injury.
