Gildo Insfrán to lead Formosa commemorations for RIMte 29 defense

Formosa Governor Gildo Insfrán will lead commemorations on October 5 to mark the 51st anniversary of the defense of the Regimiento de Infantería de Monte 29 (RIMte 29). The events honor the soldiers and police officers who died defending the regiment and the National Constitution during an attack by the Montoneros armed organization in 1975.

The scheduled ceremonies include a flag-raising and field mass, a floral offering at the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Cemetery, and a main ceremony at the RIMte 29 Plaza de Armas. Attendees will include military personnel, veterans, and families of the fallen. Additional observances include a mass and a traditional vigil scheduled for the evening of October 4.
