Gilera launches 2026 Smash motorcycle line in Argentina
Gilera Argentina has launched the 2026 line of the Smash, one of the country's best-selling motorcycle models. The new range features a significant modification called ‘Freno Fácil Frontal’ (Easy Front Brake), designed to assist novice riders.
This system moves the rear brake control from a foot pedal to a lever on the handlebar, allowing both braking commands to be operated by hand. The company stated this aims to make the initial experience of riding a motorcycle more intuitive and reduce entry barriers for new users.
All models in the 2026 lineup include the Combined Braking System (CBS), which integrates the front and rear brakes. Higher-end versions, such as the Smash R Full and Smash R Tuning, are equipped with dual disc brakes. The motorcycles are locally assembled and are currently available for immediate delivery through the official dealer network in Argentina.
