Actress Gillian Anderson has invested in Crux Football, a multi-club ownership group dedicated to the growth and financial sustainability of women’s football clubs across Europe. Founded by former New Zealand international Bex Smith, Crux Football utilizes a model that provides centralized expertise, data, and scouting resources to its portfolio of independently operated clubs.

The organization’s current holdings include Montpellier Féminines in France and FC Rosengård in Sweden. Anderson joins a diverse group of high-net-worth investors and former athletes, including Abby Wambach, Julie Foudy, Leslie Osborne Lewis, and Sue Bird, through the organization’s Player Investor Collective.

This investment follows a broader trend of institutional capital entering the women’s sports market. The women’s football sector is projected to see a compound annual growth rate of 15% through 2030, driven by increasing revenue from broadcast rights, sponsorships, and merchandise.
