Gillian Robertson disputes Din Thomas' apology after UFC 330 loss

UFC strawweight fighter Gillian Robertson has questioned a public apology from her coach, Din Thomas, following her unanimous decision loss to Mackenzie Dern at UFC 330.

Following the bout, Thomas criticized Robertson’s performance and announced his retirement from coaching. He later issued a public apology on his podcast, describing his initial comments as “completely irresponsible” and “despicable.”

However, Robertson stated during an appearance on ‘The Ariel Helwani Show’ that she does not find the apology sincere. She noted that she received no prior warning regarding his intentions to speak on the matter and claimed that in private conversations, Thomas suggested his public apology was primarily intended for television and audience engagement. Despite the controversy, Robertson intends to focus on her recovery and return to training.
