Gilsão Meu Povo reelected as president of Aparecida de Goiânia Chamber

Gilsão Meu Povo (MDB) has been reelected as the president of the Aparecida de Goiânia Municipal Chamber for an additional two-year term. During an extraordinary session held on Thursday, October 1, he secured 24 out of 25 available votes.

The reelection was achieved through a single slate of candidates, following political negotiations that included support from Mayor Leandro Vilela. While other council members such as Gleison Flávio and Neto Gomes were initially considered for the position, no competing slate was registered within the required timeframe.

In addition to the presidency, the reelection maintains the current leadership composition, including Rogério Almeida as 1st Vice-President and Felipe Cortez as 2nd Vice-President. Gilsão attributed the result to the recognition of his work during his first term and the consensus reached among the council members.
