Gimcatu Gudana wins 3000m steeplechase at Diamond League Brussels

Ethiopian runner Gimcatu Gudana won the 3000m steeplechase final at the Diamond League meeting held at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. Gudana completed the race with a time of 8:08.67.

Moroccan athlete Soufiane El Bakkali finished in second place with a time of 8:10.03, trailing the winner by 1.36 seconds. Despite the runner-up finish, El Bakkali remains a top performer this season, having secured three victories in five Diamond League appearances.

Kenyan runner Kelvin Kiptum [sic - text says Kineismon Kwech] took third place with a time of 8:11.15. Another Moroccan runner, Salah Eddine Ben Yazid, was forced to withdraw from the race after having qualified for the final in sixth place.
