San Martín de Formosa achieves historic promotion to Primera Nacional FAST-MOVING
San Martín de Formosa has secured a historic promotion to Argentina's second division, Primera Nacional, after defeating Cipolletti 2-0 in the final of the Torneo Federal A. The match, held at the Sportivo Belgrano stadium in San Francisco, Córdoba, saw Ricardo Tapia score the opening goal via a header following a free kick, with Dylan Leiva adding a second goal in the second half to seal the victory.
This achievement marks the first time a team from the Formosa province has reached the Primera Nacional. The club, led by manager Marcelo Rubino, managed to overcome early pressure from Cipolletti, aided by a decisive performance from goalkeeper Kevin Humeler. While San Martín celebrates its ascent, Cipolletti retains a chance to promote through the Reválida tournament.
