Gimnasia de Mendoza takes lead of Zona A after drawing with Boca Juniors

Gimnasia de Mendoza has moved to the top of Zona A in the Torneo Clausura following a 2-2 draw against Boca Juniors at the Víctor Legrotaglie stadium. The result marks the first time Boca Juniors has played an official match at this venue.

Boca Juniors, managed by Rodolfo “Vasco” Arruabarrena, took the lead twice through goals from Alan Velasco and Kevin Zenón. However, Gimnasia, led by Darío Franco, secured the draw with late goals from Ignacio Sabatini and Esteban Fernández. With this point, Gimnasia reaches 16 units, placing them at the top of the group alongside Instituto.

In other regional news, Independiente Rivadavia suffered a 3-1 defeat against River Plate at the Monumental, leaving them in eighth place in Zona B. Despite the loss, they remain competitive in the annual standings, sitting second with 45 points.
