Gimnasia players criticize officiating after 1-1 draw with Argentinos Juniors

Gimnasia and Argentinos Juniors played to a 1-1 draw, a result that left the Gimnasia squad expressing frustration despite playing over fifty minutes with a numerical advantage following the expulsion of defender Sebastián Prieto.

Agustín Auzmendi scored for Gimnasia during a dominant first half, but the team struggled to maintain intensity in the second half after shifting to a defensive posture. Following the equalizer by Verón, Gimnasia was unable to capitalize on their advantage.

Midfielder Ignacio Miramón criticized the officiating, stating, “Always the same thing happens to us with the referees, we always have them against us.” Coach Ariel Pereyra and attacker Agustín Auzmendi echoed these sentiments regarding the officiating.
