Gimnàstic de Tarragona reshapes squad ahead of pre‑season with player exits and Darío Ramírez signing

Gimnàstic de Tarragona is accelerating the departure of several players as the club prepares to start pre‑season on 15 July. The sporting director aims to reduce a roster that still includes a number of footballers who do not fit the new project, targeting exits for right‑back Sergio Santos, central defender David Alba and others, while finalising 14 new signings.

In addition to the broader squad overhaul, the club announced the acquisition of winger Darío Ramírez from Real Sociedad. The 19‑year‑old, born on 14 January 2005 in Lanzarote, has signed a contract until 30 June 2028 and is described as a versatile, high‑intensity attacker capable of playing on either flank or as a second striker. The signing is part of Gimnàstic’s effort to build a competitive side for a promotion push to LaLiga Hypermotion.
