Gimpo City launches new local communication and business support initiatives

Gimpo City is implementing new initiatives to enhance communication with local residents and small-scale manufacturers.

The Gimpo Industrial Support Center held its first meeting for the ‘2026 Gimpo Small Manufacturer Cluster Network Activation’ project. The session brought together city council members and small business owners to discuss management difficulties, including funding, sales channels, and regulatory hurdles. The center plans to continue supporting competitiveness through AI training and further consultative meetings.

Additionally, Mayor Lee Ki-hyung is launching the ‘Mayor is ON!’ mobile office program, a first for the city’s elected leadership. From August 28 to September 22, the mayor will visit various locations, including Gurae Station, Gimpo Art Village, and local traditional markets, to engage in direct dialogue with citizens through walking talks and suggestion boards.
