Gimpo FC reaches Korea Cup quarterfinals after comeback win

Gimpo FC has secured a place in the Korea Cup quarterfinals for the third consecutive season following a 2-1 comeback victory against Gimcheon Sangmu. After conceding an early goal in the first half, Gimpo utilized tactical substitutions to shift momentum. Chapman equalized in the 63rd minute, and Jang Bu-seong scored the winning goal in the 77th minute to complete the turnaround.

Following this cup success, Gimpo FC is preparing for a K League 2 match against league leaders Suwon Samsung Bluewings on August 29 at Gimpo Solter Football Stadium. While Suwon Samsung currently holds the top position in the league, Gimpo maintains a strong historical record against them, remaining undefeated in their recent encounters. The upcoming match features two teams currently on unbeaten runs through the month of August.
