Gimpo to host 19th World Festival on October 11

The 19th Gimpo World Festival is scheduled to take place on October 11 at the Gimpo Art Village. Under the theme ‘Gimpo Open to the World, Connecting Us through Peace,’ the event aims to foster understanding between local and foreign residents through diverse cultural experiences.

Activities include traditional costume and craft displays, world food tastings, and a flea market. The festival program features various performances, including a creative opera by the Maumsori Art Troupe, a trot performance by Kim Myung-ji, and a concert by the Withers Children's Choir. A headline performance by singer Insooni and a park concert by the Suwon University Chamber are also planned.

In addition to cultural celebrations, the event includes a fundraising booth to support victims of recent floods in Nepal caused by war and climate crises. Other programs include fingerprint registration for missing child prevention and various community service booths.
