Gina H. faces murder trial in Rostock over 2025 killing of Güstrow boy

During the 13th day of the murder trial in Rostock, a former friend of defendant Gina H. testified that the 30‑year‑old accused had killed the nine‑year‑old boy from Güstrow on 10 October 2025 with six stab wounds and then set the body on fire. The witness said H. had discovered the corpse a day earlier, led two men to the site, but only reported it to police on 14 October, claiming it was a chance find.

The testimony also described H. accompanying the witness and two dogs to the location, allegedly using the dog’s leash to create the impression that the animal had tracked the child. H. was reported to have said, “He is still there, it looks worse,” and remained emotionally detached throughout the proceedings.
