Gina H. faces pressure in Fabian murder trial over wiretapped calls

The murder trial of eight-year-old Fabian in Rostock is approaching its conclusion. The defendant, 30-year-old Gina H., is facing intense scrutiny following the release of wiretapped telephone conversations.

Prosecutors allege that on October 10, 2025, Gina H. lured Fabian from his mother's home in Güstrow to Klein Upahl, where she allegedly stabbed him to death and subsequently attempted to set his body on fire. Gina H. has denied all charges.

Evidence presented in court includes a phone call from October 20, in which the defendant discussed the investigation and made remarks regarding the number of stab wounds. While the defendant suggested there might have been seven or eight stabs, the indictment states the child suffered at least six serious wounds to the chest, two of which pierced the heart.
