Gina Marques departs EAF presidency amid management allegations
Gina Marques is stepping down from her role as president of the EAF, the entity responsible for implementing communication infrastructure commitments from the 5G auction in Brazil. While Marques stated her departure is voluntary due to political timing and internal discussions, reports suggest the exit follows allegations of management irregularities.
Sources indicate that the EAF's Deliberative Council received complaints regarding inconsistencies in financial information submitted to Anatel, the regulatory agency. Anatel's monitoring group, GAISPI, is reportedly investigating the submission of incomplete or inconsistent data.
Marques's tenure was also marked by internal friction, including a failed attempt to expand the administrative structure by creating a new high-level position. In her final days, Marques has implemented several leadership changes, including the replacement of Administrative and Financial Director Rorício Vasconcelos and the promotion of Gustavo Abdalla to the Strategic Management Superintendency, a role overseeing the TV 3.0 project.
