Ginebra Kings dominate Blackwater 115-85 in PBA Governors’ Cup
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings rebounded from an opening‑game loss with a 115‑85 victory over Blackwater Bossing in the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Stephen Holt led the scoring with 19 points, including five three‑pointers, while Riley Grigsby added 18, and Ralph Cu sparked a second‑quarter surge by hitting all 11 of his points, three of them from beyond the arc. Japeth Aguilar, Troy Rosario, Nard John Pinto and Kemark Carino each contributed 11 points, and Rhon Jay Abarrientos added 14, as the Gin Kings built identical 31‑19 leads in the first two quarters and held a 62‑38 halftime advantage. Blackwater’s Kentrell Barkley topped their side with 26 points, but the team could not match Ginebra’s intensity and fell to a 2‑2 record.
The win moved Ginebra to 1‑1 in Group B, improving their standing after the opening defeat and showcasing a balanced offensive effort despite injuries to key players Justin Brownlee and Scottie Thompson.
